Petrobrás N-1673 and ASME Code B 31.3 specifies finite element stress analysis for piping flexibility analysis

Petrobrás N-1673, for special piping components calculation, demands finite element stress analysis, in cases where the ratio between the diameter and the piping thickness (D/e) is greater than 100. This determination is described in Paragraph 7.9 of N-1673-Rev. E and in Paragraph 304.7.2 (d) of the ASME Code B 31.3.
